Thamesmead Festival

Dear Residents,

Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) were delighted to attend the annual Thamesmead Festival, where we had the opportunity to engage with residents and visitors from across the community.

Throughout the event, officers hosted a community engagement stall, providing crime prevention advice and answering questions or concerns raised by local residents. Maintaining a visible and approachable police presence at community events such as this is extremely important to us, helping to build positive relationships and strengthen community confidence.

The festival was a fantastic success, with a wide variety of stalls, attractions, and activities available for all ages. It was great to see so many members of the community coming together and enjoying the day, with plenty of positive interactions throughout the event.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the Mayor of Bexley, Councillor Lisa-Jane Moore, and discussing the importance of continued partnership working to support our local communities.
